lunchtime walk - wed 1 dec

At 10 am word on the street was that work was going to close. Fingers and toes crossed and an Official email appeared saying we were closing at 2pm - happy days.
Had a quick trek around to see if anything unusual was in the area with the weather being so bad.
I might have got a sighting of a Brambling - but 85%wishful thinking rules that out. The 15% is based on a small bird's silhouette being seen in a tree, but by the time I got the nocs on it - it had flown off, split second look at it's colouring ruled out most birds I know and suggested Brambling - but I couldn't say. Nice to have the possibility though.

This stream is the only place I ever see a Grey wagtail, sometimes there's 2 of them. Saw one here today.

Very very plumped up Wood Pigeons in tree

Leaving work there were several Blackbirds and Song thrushes in this tree
Hailstones started to pelt down so it was time to get (what turned out to be the last bus) outta there to meet a friend in town for dinner and pints.
