At 10 am word on the street was that work was going to close. Fingers and toes crossed and an Official email appeared saying we were closing at 2pm - happy days.
Had a quick trek around to see if anything unusual was in the area with the weather being so bad.
I might have got a sighting of a Brambling - but 85%wishful thinking rules that out. The 15% is based on a small bird's silhouette being seen in a tree, but by the time I got the nocs on it - it had flown off, split second look at it's colouring ruled out most birds I know and suggested Brambling - but I couldn't say. Nice to have the possibility though.

This stream is the only place I ever see a Grey wagtail, sometimes there's 2 of them. Saw one here today. |

Hailstones started to pelt down so it was time to get (what turned out to be the last bus) outta there to meet a friend in town for dinner and pints.
